The last frontier was wild.

5 stars for Poppy, a short story about the seamier side of Anchorage in the 1980. It was a time of after hours clubs and the theme song of Anchorage was “Cocaine”. Poker was the game of choice and it could be found at several after hours places.

Girls danced and strip clubs were everywhere. Anchorage was filled with people with money to burn. At a local watering hole, the band played “Cocain” at least twice a night and sometimes more, when the tip was big enough.

This is a story about a young woman who discovers how the turn of a card decided her future. Who really is her daddy? And how did it all come about? This and other stories of family in all its strange and terrible glory. Treasured Moments. amzn.to/1K4nJDs
